October 2007

After getting my Eng1 classcard…

Me: US ako o! Eto average ko *shows computed GWA to dad*!
Dad: Ohh. Next sem baka 1.2 na yan.

MUSTA NAMAN. Just because he’s got a summa cum laude standing at grad school right now, HMPH.

But I don’t care. I love my grades. I love my GWA. I don’t think I ever even got a GWA this high in Pisay. I don’t care what my dad says. Or doesn’t say, in this case, like… YAY, for instance. Or congrats. Or something, anything, besides “Ohh. Next sem baka 1.2 na yan.” Sabi ko nga kay Kris, it doesn’t matter as long as you know you did your best (ok, I didn’t. Haha. Lalo na sa Kas1.), and you’re happy with the results. Parents’ expectations are just too high.

But yeah. I could get a 1.2 if I tried. And I will try next sem, harder than I did last time. But of course I’m not promising anything, so if after next sem my dad still says the same thing, BAHALA SYA SA BUHAY NYA. HMPH.

I could’ve included this in my previous post, but it deserves an entry of its own, haha. :P

I went to UP today to get my Eng1 grade and then had lunch with my dad at SM afterwards. And after that, the first thing I did was check CRS.

FINALLY, IT’S DONE.

But I need another subject. I got none of the three Philo schedules I enlisted in. Oh well. At least I didn’t get the Wednesday one. (And at least CRS didn’t cancel my subjects like it did Imang’s. Grabe, I’d go ballistic if it did.)

But can somebody please tell my how the daily batch run thingy works? I need one more subject!!

I have seen the schedule. It said the batch run was yesterday. Not yesterday until today or whenever. Now YOU see the schedule, CRS. Hmph.

…And still no end to the CRS batch run. All this waiting is not unlike the feeling I get after a presscon while waiting for the results. This is possibly the worst part of college so far.

And still CRS is not done with today’s batch run. It makes me so nervous.

Hay. Kahit hanggang hatinggabi magbatch run sya basta ibigay nya lang ang subjects na hinihingi ko! :(

PS. So sorry fans (er. Si Ed lang naman ata haha. Sina Ed at Shayne pala. Harhar. Tatlo pala fans ko! Sina Ed, Shayne, at Cam. Yehey! Ok, dumadami na ang naglalabasan. Di ko na ieenumerate. :P) for having nothing interesting to say other than CRS this and CRS that; I promise I’ll blog about something else once the torture of waiting is over. Ay! Tomorrow I’m going to post a special Halloween episode of The Cooking Show With Baby Bear!

…is scaring me like WHOA.

Last chance na bukas. Next week na ulit ang susunod.

Good luck naman to me. CRS, maawa ka sakin. :(

EDIT: “ok lang yan.. the last time crs messed up your schedule, it was a good thing after all..” ~Imang. Thanks. Made me feel so much better. :)

I had a date on Monday the 29th.

That was before I received news that my grandmother’s grandfather’s brother (my granduncle) just died this afternoon. We’re going to Nueva Ecija tomorrow for the wake and we’ll stay there until Monday. I don’t think we’re gonna be able to attend the funeral, though, whenever that is, because we’re going to Batangas on Nov. 3 for my uncle’s death anniversary. (I seem to have so many dead relatives, huh.)

I was so looking forward to cooking with Cam pa naman.

But I guess that’s life. You never know when it’s gonna end. In a single instant all my plans were gone (I was supposed to clean my room tomorrow.), together with a life that just this morning still existed.

What makes it more sad is that his wife (my grandaunt) died a couple of weeks ago. I guess old age+huge loss really take their toll on people. :(

Ok. This has been an unintentionally emo post. Sorry. :P

I checked CRS this afternoon to see what subjects I got.

And guess what.

Aside from getting a CS12 that has a different schedule from what Has (and probably my other blockmates) got, it also overlapped with the Eng12 that CRS gave me. So of course I had to cancel Eng12 because that’s more important even though I want that Eng12 and I want the other CS12, not the one I got.

Plus, I still don’t have Philo. And there’s no suitable Philo11 for my sched so now I have to get either Philo1 or Philo10. Of course I can always take Philo later in life na lang, but I want to take all my required subjects as early as possible.

And ofcourse in my high-bloodness over CRS’s annoyingness, I forgot to take a screenshot of my stupid overlapping schedule. I’ve fixed it now and enlisted in so many schedules of the same subject na para naman may chance na makuha ko na. Please lang CRS. 2 subjects na lang. PLEEEEASE. Ayoko mag-daily batch run! :(

Here’s my new sched. The sure subjects are Math53, CS12, Bio1, and PE.

As you can see, my PE is PE 3 BW-T. Because surprisingly, I got a 1.5 in PE, which makes me eligible for the advanced tenpin bowling class! Grabe, miracle! Hahaha.

My Eng1 grade is still unknown though. Sir Queano is SOOOO SLOOOOOOOW! Rawr. Everyone else knows na if they’re a US or a CS except me. HMPH.

Hay. Friends, especially yung wala nang kelangan pa i-preenlist (uh, Ateneo friends? Clar? Na dapat sana ay kasabay kong nahhighblod? :P), please pray for my sched because AYOKO TALAGA MAG-DAILY BATCH RUN! :(

Finally, after many many months of not-planning, Shayne and I finally had our TOSH (The Old Spaghetti House, on Katipunan Ave.) date yesterday at lunch (up to merienda hahaha).

(WARNING: PICTURE HEAVY.)

I tried to stop myself, I really did.

But I couldn’t. I went home P1500++ poorer.

The bookworm in me is extremely happy, though. In addition to these two:

I also found myself buying this:

The first Youngblood compilation. I’ve wanted this since forever, but in high school I didn’t have much stipends and allowance so it wasn’t until now that I finally can afford it, LOL. Of course I’ll be buying the next compilations someday too, when I’ve recovered from today’s shopping spree.

Really, I’m this close to being broke. Somebody please stop me the next time I try going anywhere near National Bookstore or Powerbooks. (Incidentally, I also applied for a Powerbooks Powercard today. Guess I can see myself buying more already. Oh noes.)

And while we’re on the topic of books, somebody please explain to me why The Heart Reader is nowhere to be found? And it’s not just out of stock; they don’t have it in their records! And by they, I mean BOTH National Bookstore and Powerbooks. I meant to give to Shayne for her birthday pa naman. (Yes Ben kaya ako nasa National nun, I was looking for a gift. I wasn’t just buying a notebook, although I needed that one as well.) Oh well. I found something totally different but incredibly cool naman which I’d really like to keep for myself, and I would if I didn’t love Shayne so much. That’s how cool it is.

Basta. Next time, I’m trying harder to stop myself. But in case I still fail, somebody please stop me. Use any means necessary, including guns or whatever, haha. I’m banning myself until the start of Christmas break. Syempre I’ll give myself a Christmas gift eh, yung The Boy Who Loved Anne Frank na since I can’t afford to buy it anytime soon anymore. But if anyone would like to give it to me as a Christmas gift, I’d appreciate it very much too, haha.
