February 2008

I’m still reeling from the exhaustion of the past few weeks, but I’ve got to say, Papuri was one hell of an experience. In a good way, of course. In a really, really good way. :)

(Longer Papuri post coming up soon once I start getting used to blogging again –LOL– and photo recap of the last few weeks coming soon too.)

…during which I got home at 9:30 (a personal record, considering my dad bombards me with text messages saying “Saan k n? Pauwi k n b?” whenever I stay out past 8pm), God still finds ways to remind me of his loving presence.

Because now, I HAVE UP PE SHORTS FOR PAPURI! Thank You Lord for sending Andy online immediately after I did. (Sya actually yung naiisip kong hiraman LOL. O diba, God really answers prayers!) And syempre thank you to Andy for going online when you did, and for lending me your shorts. :)

Pero nung sinabi ko kanina sa sharing na pagod na ko umuwi ng late, kulang yun eh. Marami pang bagay na dahilan ng pagkapagod ko (physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually… o diba lahat na). Pero that’s for my closest friends to know na lang. ;)

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

~Matthew 11:28

Certainly not me.

It’s not obvious in that pic but I was wearing a red headband too. Look:

There was a “</3″ shirt available too, but I don’t want to be bitter. I’ve got lots of love in my life. In fact, I had multiple (pre-)VDay dates. With my girlfriends, haha. And yes, Cam and I did that “go-out-with-your-best-girl-bud-and-pamper-yourselves” Valentines date they say in magazines, haha. Ewww, why are we such girls now? LOL.

Three years ago today, I formally (haha may ganun pa!) said yes.

To Him.

On that night in the PSHS gym I had no idea it was getting into, but it didn’t matter; that night He was in charge.

On that night I started a journey — one that I am still on right now. It’s been difficult at times, but I’ve never been happier.

Imang, Karrizz, Ivy (OMG sabi na may nakalimutan ako eh) Gabby, Yssa, Mariel, and Zelle (may nakalimutan pa ba ako? Sana wala), HAPPY YFC ANNIVERSARY to us. :)

“Because the right things are rarely the easiest things.”

~Clar, in tonight’s YM conversation
(secret na lang what prompted her to say this)

The conversation was an odd one, with topics ranging from Father Mon’s multiply (yes, he has one. Nagulat din ako haha), to drama stuff, to my fabulous curly hair (on my YM avatar anyway haha). Grabe, I missed having long, random yet insightful and cathartic conversations like this. And grabe I missed you so much Clar. <3333333!

When I left the UPSCA Papuri dancers’ practice today, it was to follow my parents and my sister to SM North, as they’d been texting me for quite some time already. I thought we’d be quick since they’ve been there all afternoon, but I thought wrong. Because my mom was generous today and offered to buy me new rubber shoes (because my old ones are worn out and about to break already). Hooray! Plus. I coerced her into buying me that pair of slippers (not flipflops this time because they hate it when I wear flipflops) I’ve been asking her to since.. last last week? Plus I bought myself a pair of sandals (because this was cheaper than either of the two others, and asking my mom to buy three items of footwear all on the same night would be a bit too much already LOL). So today you could say I went on a bit of a shopping spree, haha. So spoiled. I would probably never get away with this if my dad had a say on the matter. Good thing he didn’t, as he now knows not to interfere with our shopping, although sometimes he still makes us hurry up and shop like men (you know, the just-get-item-and-pay thing), which is why we now often opt to shop without him, LOL.

Anyways. So. Yeah. Shopping spree. Here’s what I bought:

Of course this also means I can’t ask my mom for stuff until she recovers from this blow on her wallet, LOL. Ok lang, I don’t really need much else aside from these and from my flipflops. Saka minsan-minsan lang ako ma-spoil haha. Especially now, my mom can say, “May stipends ka naman ah, pag-ipunan mo yan!” whenever I ask her to buy me stuff. So syempre I don’t buy the item anymore because now I have to pay for it, boo. Haha.

Eww, I’m such a girl (and what girl can resist a pair –or two– of shoes for free?)

It’s not that I have nothing to write. In fact it’s the opposite; I’ve got plenty of things going on in my life that scream to be written down. The problem is the lack of time. And energy. Haha. When I come home at 9 or so in the evening, pipiliin ko pa bang magsulat, when I’m so tired I can’t even lift a pitcher of water? I would like to say yes but the cozy comforter keeps calling out to me, LOL.

But I promise tonight I will write. I badly need catharsis right now.

I won’t promise that everything will show up here, though. Baka masyadong madrama. :P

Or a summer job.

Or an experience so profound that Reader’s Digest will surely publish it in the My Story section, which will give me an instant $500.

Anything –basta legal– magkapera lang ako. Parang awa nyo na.

Or S5 IS na lang mismo. Haha.

=time (in hours) I spent on my MP. Less half an hour or so because I checked my mail, facebook, and multiply pa in between, LOL.

1 1/3=pages of my documentation.

Hay, MP ba to? Haha.

…until I dropped a pitcher full of water and spilled its contents all over the kitchen floor. Luckily the pitcher was made of plastic so at least my mother won’t kill me when she gets home for breaking an expensive piece of glassware, but oh what a waste of water. Especially when I was so thirsty I could drink at least half a pitcher of water. :( I don’t even know why I was so exhausted anyway, seeing as it’s Wednesday and all and I’m supposed to be well-rested and stuff. Boo.

In other news, I missed Ash Wednesday Mass at Pisay. Boo to my PE class. Of all the days when they would decide to have us play two games, today happened to be it! Sayang, I miss Mass with Father Mon pa naman. :( Well when I arrived the Mass was still ongoing, but haller, it was the Our Father part na so diba, parang I went to Mass lang just to say I went to Mass. So nagmadali na lang kami umuwi ng sister ko so I could catch the 6:30 Mass here in our village. I was a bit late but at least I didn’t get there 3/4 into the celebration, LOL.

And then I went home and I was so exhausted I couldn’t even eat. What the hair is that naman. Oh well, kunyari fasting LOL.
