That said, I really like this video. The clock was a nice touch, although what I like in particular is that he’s in the clock. LOL. I don’t know why. And I love the parts where he’s at the piano, because I didn’t really expect that. I mean, I know he plays the piano, I just didn’t think he’d do it in this video. I also love that he was standing while playing, idk.

Also, Kris looks adorable. Hahaha.

Let’s talk about the previous semester.

• It was honestly the most horrible semester of my life.
• I’ve never cried so much over school before. (I’ve also cried a lot for another reason, but that’s a story for another day.)
• I’ve never been furious at a teacher before. But, me and my friends were royally screwed over, he was really crap and mean teacher, and how I even  passed that subject, I’ll never know.
• I have this weird magic mojo with classes that I almost failed, that I end up getting a higher grade than exptected. Case in point: Class In Which We Got Royally Screwed Over. There was really no way I was passing that class, but I did. I just wish my friends did too, though. I feel guilty that I won the EEE lottery or something. I wish I could share that luck with my friends. :( Also, I keep checking back on my grades, terrified that they just made a mistake and I actually failed. Or that I was just imagining things and read my grade wrong. Or that my prof decided to screw me over one last time, kind of pull the rug from under me just when I thought I’m already safe. I wouldn’t put it past him, really.
• Last sem I had a record seven exams in 10 days, and I thought it couldn’t get any worse than that. But this semester I had six exams in five consecutive days. No time to even breathe. That was the week I thought I was either going to die of exhaustion, or kill myself before it was all over.
• By the last week of the semester I was practically living on my couch, sleeping for only 2-4 hours a night, spontaneously bursting into tears at random times, and surviving on coffee and music.
• My major is like a killing machine, for srs. I can probably count on one hand how many of us in my block can still graduate on time, and only half of the original block still remain in this course.
• Have I mentioned how we got royally screwed over? Because I don’t think I will get over that. Not going to go over the details here, but let’s just say he was the meanest person I have ever had the misfortune to meet. It’s one thing to like, maybe give difficult exams, but it’s another to apparently enjoy seeing your students fail because you never did anything to help them. It’s like he missed the compassion gene when it was being given out, I don’t even know.

Here’s to hoping the coming semester turns out better. Or at the very least, PLEASE GOD DON’T PUT ME IN A CLASS UNDER HIM AGAIN. :(((((

This wasn’t actually the post I was going to make. I was going to talk about my day with my BFF yesterday, and about This Is It, but this came along.

I don’t know why this is even affecting me this much. I guess this speech just came during a really rough time for me, so it’s making me real emotional. David said some really amazing things there that inspired me and made me feel better. Oh BB, you will always be my favorite.

He also talked about how he was called Smiley Boy in school because smiled at everyone and a girl actually came up to him and said it meant a lot to her sister! He talked about how something small like that can make a difference in someone without you knowing it. I wish he knew just how much of a difference he made in my life because of this speech, because of his smiles, because of his actions, because of his existence.

Also! He visits his widowed neighbors when he comes home because he says “sometimes people forget”!  HOW IS HE REAL ♥ ♥ ♥

What kind of impact has 1 left on your life?
Wow, where do I even start? He’s the first artist I fangirled this much, and I lovelovelove him and his music so much. It’s because of him (and the other David, lmao) that I met so many people and made friends I wouldn’t have otherwise. It’s also because of him that I experienced more drama than I would need in my life, but that’s ok, the pros outweigh the cons. He’s the nicest guy EVER, and his smile makes my day. And he just really makes me happy, idek. I ADORE HIM A LOT. (I could talk about him forever, so Imma stop now, haha)

I liked him when he first came into the industry, but never really fangirled him. Then I downloaded his latest album, loved it, download everything else I was missing out on, and now he’s my top 3 most played artist, heh.

Live Like We’re Dying. Which is now Kris Allen’s song, but I loved their original way before that happened. Next would be Breakeven.

What is a good memory concerning 2?
That entire week he was here, haha. But a particular one would be the end of his set during their concert here. When he sang A Daily AntheM and brought David Archuleta out to sing the end with him. I WAS LITERALLY IN TEARS. One of the most moving things I’ve ever seen in my life.

How did you become a fan of 10?
I download lots of music, anything that remotely interests me, and Jack’s Mannequin was one of that. And so I discovered the genius of Andrew McMahon. I don’t really fangirl him/them but he’s one of those artists whose music just… idk, speaks to you and you listen to over and over until one day, hey, he’s one of your top artists already.

May 10th, 2009. Batangas. PE1. Beach, mountains, and new friends.
The first second of two three weekends that made my summer of 2009 so much fun (the first being Antipolo weekend with Nico and friends, and third being David+David concert weekend right after Batangas weekend, of course, haha.)

I was supposed to post this last night, but I got home late and was so, so exhausted, so let’s just start this thing today.

Okay. Outside David and David, Jason Mraz is my favorite artist. And outside any David songs (because obviously the Davids get their own ~category in my head, lmao), I think this song is my absolute favorite. It’s beautiful and inspiring and moving (plus it features James Morrison, who is another one of my favorites). I listen to it a lot when I’m stressed because it calms me and reminds me that it’s not the end of the world if I fail (but it will be the end of my scholarship, rofl).

Also, it was the first thing on my ~study~ playlist (I have different playlists for different moods, heh). Along with others that keep me from having panic attacks every time I see a line of code or study equations for circuits. (Two other essentials for that playlist are David Archuleta’s Save the Day and Michael Johns and Brooke White’s Life Is Okay. I listen to a lot of Idol music, I know haha. But hey, you get three songs instead of one, you don’t get to complain. XD)
